FAQS
Will Lisa Lillien actually be there the whole time? Will I get to meet her?
Yes and yes! Lisa will be on the cruise for the entire trip, and she'll be leading the Hungry Girl events. You'll have plenty of opportunities to meet her and hang out with her... You're basically going on vacation together!
How much does the cruise cost?
The cruise starts at $1,270 per person, plus port fees and taxes, based on double occupancy. Click here for full Accommodations & Pricing info.
What's included in the cruise price?
  • Stateroom or suite accommodations
  • All meals, including 24-hour room service, except in the specialty reservations-only restaurants
  • Most entertainment & activities onboard
  • The full Hungry Girl program and special events for the group
  • Free shipboard credit is included for the 1st and 2nd person in each cabin, based on the following: $50 per person in Interior and Ocean-View Staterooms; $100 per person in Verandah cabins; and $150 per person in Suites.
What's not included in the price?
  • Air transportation cost and transfers to the ship
  • Port charges and taxes ($310 per person; subject to change)
  • Shore excursions in the various ports
  • Onboard: sodas, alcoholic beverages, bottled water, phone calls, Internet access service, spa treatments, laundry/dry cleaning, professional photographs, casino gambling, and gratuities. Gratuity fee is per person/per day: $15 for suites, $13.50 for non-suites. This will be charged to your onboard account at the end of the cruise by Holland America.
Is the entire boat going to be made up of Hungry Girl fans?
No. The Hungry Girl fans will consist of one group on board a traditional cruise ship. The beauty of this setup is that you get the best of both worlds: the exclusive, intimate Hungry Girl experience (presentations, parties, etc.) and all the perks of a standard Holland American cruise (live music, shows, and more)!
Will all the food be Hungry Girl recipes or Hungry Girl approved?
No, but we WILL be providing comprehensive information about the best choices onboard and at the ports! And there will be plenty of healthy options. There will also be some special HG-approved and even HG-developed meal options available.
Will calorie counts for all the onboard meals be provided?
We will do our best to provide you with as much info as possible regarding the best choices onboard. In fact, there will be an entire Hungry Girl event centered around how to make the smartest food decisions during the cruise.
Is this a weight-loss cruise?
Yes and no. This is a vacation, and we want you to be free to decide if you indulge or not. That said, there will be plenty of healthy food options available, as well as calorie-burning opportunities. And you'll be given a lot of guidance on making the best choices.
Can my spouse and kids come?
Of course! In fact, Holland America has several free fully supervised programs for children 3 - 17. If your spouse and kids do not wish to attend the Hungry Girl events, discounts are available on cruise fares.
How are the HG events scheduled? Will I miss opportunities to explore the ports?
The Hungry Girl events are thoughtfully scheduled only when the ship is at sea. This way, you'll never miss an opportunity to explore the islands! We also schedule the events with special nightlife entertainment in mind; trust us, you won't miss a thing!
Do I have to attend every HG event?
No! You're more than welcome to pick and choose which events you'd like to attend. So if the spa is calling to you minutes before Hungry Girl trivia, go right ahead and enjoy...

Know Before You Go
How much time do I need to allow for embarking and disembarking?
For air arrivals and departures into Ft. Lauderdale, it's recommended guests allow adequate time for transfer between the airport and pier, customs inspections, and airport security checks.

On the day of departure (April 7th), flights should arrive to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) no later than 1:30pm and to Miami International (MIA) no later than 12:30pm. On the day the ship returns (April 14th), flights should depart after 11:30am from Ft. Lauderdale and after noon from Miami.
Can I purchase transfers from the airport to the ship?
If you are arriving in the Ft. Lauderdale airport on the day of departure, you may add transfers to the ship. The cost of these transfers will be $19 per person each direction from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) and $24 from Miami International (MIA). Flight numbers and details are required for your reservations. Taxis run approximately $20 from Ft. Lauderdale and are faster and less expensive if more than one is traveling. The approximate cost of a taxi from Miami is $80.
